Shibadong launches activities to celebrate coming Dragon Boat Festival

A series of activities was held in Shibadong Village, Shuanglong Town, Huayuan County, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture to celebrate the coming Dragon Boat Festival on June 5. More than 1,000 villagers from the Shibadong area and tourists participated in the competition of making zongzi, tasted fried food, and watched wonderful performances. During the competition of making zongzi, villagers and tourists tasted traditional Miao cuisine like fried glutinous rice cakes, tofu puddings, and soybean milk while taking photos. After the event, volunteers sent cooked zongzi to old people staying at home.
